Ocean plastics are causing a catastrophic global and societal impact. Every year, 17 million marine creatures perish due to plastic consumption, highlighting a dire ecological crisis. Astonishingly, over 14 million tonnes of microplastics enter our ocean every year. This environmental disaster is not only a threat to marine life but also imposes staggering economic burdens. By 2040, the cost for global governments to manage plastic waste is projected to reach a colossal $670 billion. The societal impacts are equally alarming, with high rates of illness and increased mortality in affected communities. Alarmingly, ocean plastics affect 3 billion people once they reach landfills. The livelihoods of millions of fishermen are at risk, with incomes in 34% of countries falling below national poverty lines. This crisis calls for urgent action to protect our oceans and communities from the devastating effects of plastic pollution.

PuraFive aims to mitigate and remove ocean plastic from entering the ocean. Our goal is to recycle this plastic and provide low income housing and other upcycled products for the communities who are affected by ocean pollution. We appreciate your financial donations.  Through supporting our cause you help us clean the ocean as well as assist in providing jobs to communities affected by the global issue.
